Opportunities
Teaching- We have developed a course organized and led by Neuroscience postdoctoral fellows that is designed to introduce first-year Neuroscience graduate students to cutting-edge techniques and approaches that are commonly used in research labs here at Mount Sinai. This course is taught annually in the Fall and all Neuroscience postdocs are welcome to contribute by teaching a lecture. Past topics and syllabus can be found here (hyperlink).
Additional teaching opportunities can be viewed here (hyperlink) as they become available.
(Molecular and cellular genomics foundation course-first year med school-preceptor opportunities).
Jobs- Current job opportunities within Mount Sinai and outside can be viewed here.
Outreach- The Neuroscience postdoctoral association strongly values the importance of diversity, inclusion and equity. Our current efforts include:
- We work in collaboration with DiverseBrains to organize events for fostering interaction between international trainees and faculty at Sinai.
- We are co-hosting the Sinai Emerging Scholars program, which is a scholarship opportunity to support the transition of advanced graduate students from diverse and underrepresented backgrounds to postdoctoral positions at Mount Sinai.
- We also work in collaboration with MiNDs Brain Fair, where we have the opportunity to introduce science in a fun way to children.
If interested in playing a more active role in these events, please reach out to us at mssmneuropostdoc@gmail.com.
